Best Companies to Work for in Snow and Ice Award
We are proud to announce that The Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA), has selected MSNW for their award for Best Companies to Work for in Snow & Ice. Our entire snow team should be proud of our work this last year in snow and ice removal. It is never easy to manage emergency winter services while working in brutal and chilling conditions, yet our team has once again stepped up to the plate.
Safety Award
In addition, MSNW has been selected for SIMA’s Safety Award. We could not have achieved such low accident records without everyone following safety precautions and following procedures outlined to them in our regular safety training. We take pride in being a company that puts safety first above all else so that every worker can go home to their families after work each day.
Alan Steiman Scholarship
We are eager to share yet another bit of news from SIMA. Amy Dewitt, MSNW’s Tacoma Administrative Assistant, has been selected as a recipient of SIMA’s Alan Steiman Scholarship. Alan was a long-term SIMA member and industry advocate who set up a foundation/fund to help support individual career advancement in the winter services industry.
Through this scholarship award, Amy will receive a travel voucher, a free hotel room for the duration of SIMA’s symposium (annual trade event), a full event pass and recognition in person and in print/digital media. We cannot wait for Amy to have a chance to attend SIMA’s symposium this year to learn more about the snow and ice industry so that she can support the snow operations team better with ideas for new solutions to problems and product improvements to help make our team unstoppable.
