Since 1995, MSNW has been delivering total facility services to commercial properties across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. As we celebrate 30 years in 2025, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated team members and valued clients who have been part of this journey!

On July 1, 1995, Janelle Bruland took a leap and acquired Management Services Northwest, kicking off the janitorial company from her home with a small, tight-knit team of 10.
For two years, Janelle’s dining room served as Management Services Northwest's office, a lively hub where the business began to take shape—until it outgrew the space, leading to the construction of an office next to her family’s home.
In just 5 years, Management Services Northwest doubled its client base, expanded across Washington, and built a strong, dynamic management team.
More clients requested a wider range of facility services. In response, we launched our Landscape Division to meet the growing demand!
More growth led to the need for more space, better infrastructure, and upgraded systems. It was time to level up! In 2009, we made the big move to a new office in Ferndale—a space that’s still our corporate headquarters today.
2010 was a standout year for Management Services Northwest—streamlined growth, major contracts, and stronger client partnerships. The following years established deeper roots in the PNW, and a sharp focus on team education, safety training, leadership, and BSCAI involvement.
In 2017, Management Services Northwest became MSNW Group LLC.
In 2018, MSNW ramped up its growth. The year also marked the launch of a Safety First culture, the introduction of our landscape construction division, and the appointment of Terell Weg as interim President!
2020 brought both challenges and milestones as MSNW navigated the COVID-19 pandemic. In February, the first disinfection request marked the start of pandemic cleaning as a core part of our business model.
2020 also saw a leadership transition. Janelle Bruland retired as CEO, and Terell Weg stepped in as President and CEO. Terell grew with MSNW from the ground up, starting by cleaning facilities with her family in the company’s early days. Now, she leads MSNW into a new chapter.
2021 marked big changes at the corporate office, including major renovations!
MSNW also established its Southern branch, purchasing a new office in Tacoma.
MSNW proudly serves clients across the Pacific Northwest and continues to experience impressive growth. From a small team of 10 to over 250 dedicated team members and multiple offices, we’ve expanded to meet the needs of our clients and community.
Our success has earned us spots on the Inc. 5000 and Puget Sound Business Journal’s lists of Fastest Growing Private Companies. We’ve also received numerous accolades, including safety awards, recognition as a Top 100 Snow Contractor by Snow Magazine, and honors of excellence across departments—from marketing to landscape design!
